since blade and soul update 2.2 patch released, we can experience the pets system now. pets in blade and soul just like a weapon which can upgrade. while, they don’t fight themselves, these little guys and gals offer defensive bonuses when kept well fed.
as for now, blade and soul pets come in multiple quality types, which determines if they can be traded and upgraded. there are 8 pets in blade&soul, as follow:
superior pets：
black penguin pet, blue penguin pet, green penguin pet，pink penguin pet
heroic pets:
untarmed ghost pet, untarmed griffin pet, untarmed infernal pet, untarmed lycan pet
different between superior pets and heroic pets:
the highest level of pets is 10j, when it reached 6j,pet level will provide them with increasingly powerful defensive bonuses.
how to acquire heroic pets?
1. to buy pet pouch in hongmoon store
2. you can farm pets in sogun’s lament dungeon. but you can only get two kinds of heroic pets: untarmed ghost pet, untarmed griffin pet.
how to use pets to earn blade and soul gold
as we all know that blade and soul pets level upgrade is very important, because we can get the defensive bonuses when they arrived at 6j. well, the essential factor to upgrade pets is pet enhancement stone. there are 3 ways to acquire pet enhancement stone.
1.untarmed pets/ superior pets soulstone= 2/1 pet enhancement stone
2.10 honorary ornament 
10 soulstone 
20 frozen stinger
=pet enhancement stone
3.5 naryu tablet
10 soulstone 
30 bravery 
=pet enhancement stone
materials price as follow:
soulstone 0.35g
honorary ornament 9.69g
frozen stinger 2.95g
naryu tablet : 37g
the pets dropped from dungeons can be traded, therefore, we can farm pets in dungeons to earn blade and soul gold easy. there are 4 dungeons can drop pets: sogun’s lament, heaven’s mandate, sundered nexus,cold storage.
