admit it or not, there are still many players who have no idea how to use correct macro to talk to the right target, to aim at a target in a busy and mass fate, to attack the same target that the tank is attacking automatically and so on. knowing how to use macro properly can help us enjoy this game better.

macro setting

to start with, we think it is necessary to talk about the most frequently used marcos in talks. only when you know how to express yourself to the right target correctly, can you communicate and make new friends.
use /say or /s, following by the content you want to express, you can talk to people nearby.
use /party or /p, following by the words you want to say, you can send messages to the members in the same party.
use /freecompany or /fc, you cans send messages to members in your company.

the above are the macros that being used the most often. then we would like to tell you something about how to perform actions in a team.
use /invite, adding a player’s name afterwards, you can invite the current player to your party.
use /kick, adding a player’s name, you can kick him out of your party.
use /join, you can join the party that sends invitation to you.
use /decline, you refuse to join the party that invites you.

use macro in combat

after knowing the most basic macros in game, we would like to recommend some macros that can save you much troubles in game, which are really useful.

many players are complaining that they can not aim at the enemy when they are in a fate as they are surrounded by crowds of players, and the sparkling effects of their skills make it difficult for them to aim at the right targets. in this situation, we recommend you using the /targetenemy or /tenemy macro to target the closest enemy. or if you find you are attacked by the enemies, you can use /bt macro, which is shortened from /battletarget, you can aim at the closest target that is attacking you. but there is radius limit for these two macros.

while in a raid, the tank should try to get the attention of the enemies, and make sure that he is the target always. but when he makes it, he need help from the dps to take down the enemy fast. in a battle that you are facing multiple targets at the same time, it is very necessary for the dps to know which your current target is. so, using the /marking or /mk with the name you want to mark, you can let the dps know who is your current target in time. for example, if you use /mark target 1, it means you give the target a mark “target 1”.

another macro that may be helpful is /follow. following by the name of the npc, you can follow the npc automatically. so you don’t need to worry about losing the target any more.
